it's disappointing that the sept vb movement was much smaller than expected (i fall in your g3m2 category) but the blessing in disguise is that it will make people believe the long term vision that IV has to pursue the fixes that will solve these problems for good and will help everyone irrespective of their category. hopefully more people will come forward and donate and join IV's hands on the grass root efforts.

Hello All
My employer paid me for my 485 application,he gave me his personal checks in the name of uscis, i applied with those checks, now i hear that
"The Address Printed On your checks Must Match the adress given in work sheets[in 485]"
I am confused,will they accept the application,checks are not cashed yet,applied on july18th
Please Help

First thing i would try is call Immigration moderators and explain the situation and ask them some notes.
Try to mixyour story with the notes and present to them.
second option:
Try to go through some threads and gain some knowledge about what they will ask and how to make it effective to listeners.
I guess there is no issues even if they try to find any information about your employer or your self.They are not investiagting on you ,all they are doing is analyze the issues of immigration system.

I would like to know some details about EB3.
Currently the priority date for EB3 India is May�01.
My PD is Mar�2004.
When no reforms happen, how long approximately it will take to reach my PD.
I know it is based on how many people applied, yearly and per country limit. Can any one guess or possibly know how we can find about these details about movement such that how many people applied, if it goes on the same speed then how long it will take to move from one year to next year. Can anyone guess?

If you create an app for the iPhone, you should be able to put it on the apple store and derive income from it, as long as you have not worked for someone (or yourself) deriving compensation financially, without authorization.

Hi,
Pay stubs & Tax returns for all your stay in USA are most important. Some times, you may be asked to submit w2 form for all your employer changes. If you have worked with company that had a H1B transfer denial, You need to have pay stubs & w2 form from that company also.
The office at any USA consulate may ask you the following items,
1. recent pay stubs (Probably for 3 months)
2. W2 form from your old company & new company (If you have worked for 2 companies in the FY 2007.
3. Last pay stub from your old company & first pay stub form your new company. This is to verify your continuity on the work

Has anybody tried booking an emergency apointment? I was checking that some time back when I wanted to go urgently and it says that it is for people wanting to visit US for urgent family matters and not for people who are currently in the US and visiting home country. Anybody has tried this (going from US to get visa stamped in India in an urgent situation?).

Are you saying that a child will age out if the child's 485 cannot be immediately adjudicated due to retrogression and the child is over 21 when that 485 is eventually processed?
The priority date for children who might age out is fixed at the time of your I140 filing. So if you I140 took six months to approve this can be taken off the age of the child when the labor priority date becomes current. So even if you file when a child is 20 and a half and you have to wait for two years for the date to become current, unless the I140 took 1 and a half years their age will be over 21 when the green card can be processed so they age out of derivative status.
Good luck to those who are facing this. I do understand your anxiety since my son aged out while I was waiting three and half years for my labor cert. It would seem that this 'black hole' in the employment based process is non existent to the people who can change it.
Not sure what the future holds for such children, maybe there is some greater plan which we are not aware of yet.
I do see one advantage they cannot be called up for military service (for the USA) on a non-immigrant visa whereas they can if they have a green card. While I understand fighting is a noble cause I would not want my son to fight for our country of origin either.

Point-and-shoot or a dSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex).
The Sony Cybershoot is just your average P&S camera, small, light and compact.
A dSLR for example, like the Nikon D40 or the Canon EOS 350D are dSLR type and are much bigger in size but deliver alot higher quality images.

Well if it is not OK, Go back to India, then apply for AOS once priority date become current. Is this option will work?

Well, you got me started on something new Gary.... Since I don't shoot in raw format, I have never processed RAW before in photoshop, so I had to first download the most recent version of the raw plug-in.... and what fun! I have recently switched the job using AC21. I have to move my 401K from my old previous company but here is the issue: in my new company I will not be eligible for the 401 till I complete 6 months with the new company.
If thinking of moving it to IRA account, please let me know what is the procedure involved?
I will really appreciate if some can suggest me what are my other options.

When you open an account with Vanguard ( my favorite for IRA) they actually have guides etc to help you out, to really make things smooth do not make out checks in your name, open the IRA account and choose to roll over existing 401(k) ( it will guide you through a process) also you will receive some paperwork from current 401(k) managemnet about your options and paperwork.
In most companies even though you will become eligible for match only after a waiting period you can still roll-over and make contributions. Check if you are confusing the two aspects.
